Description

A super-gripping action animation based on Jean-Pierre Andrevon’s novel “Metal Men Against Gandahar” from the director of the famous “Time Masters” René Laloux. The film is a masterpiece in every respect, advocating, as always with this director, the ideas of peace and good. Gandahar, an oasis of peaceful life amid the restless Galaxy, is threatened by a mysterious awesome force. A young warrior, Prince Sylvain, is dispatched to find out what lies behind the mystery. First, he is attacked by gigantic birds of prey. Escaping them with the help of transformers – the victims of botched genetic engineering experiments, he uncovers the source of the threat – an army of metal men at the service of evil Metamorphis, an artificial oversized brain possessing an enormous power. The battle of Sylvain and his companion, Airelle, against the metal men, going on not only in space but also in time, looks very beautiful thanks to visual representations of French artist Philippe Caza.
